Hosting at Cloudflare
The site consists of static files served through Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, your browser's request goes to Cloudflare. According to its privacy policy, Cloudflare processes, among other things, when people visit its customers' sites: IP addresses, traffic routing data and system configuration information.
Cloudflare adds a "Network Error Logging" header to every page. Browsers that support it can use it to send Cloudflare reports about failed connections (to a.nel.cloudflare.com).

No cookies, no analytics
The site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics or tracking services, no advertising and no social media plugins. No fonts are loaded from other servers; the pages use the fonts installed on your device.
Language choice in your browser
On the home page and the How-to, The table and Gear guide pages you can choose a language. The choice is kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) under the name "raclette-language", so the pages open in the same language next time. The value stays on your device and is not sent to the site. You can delete it in your browser settings.
Calculator and planner
The raclette calculator and the planner on the How-to page do their maths in your browser. Your inputs are neither stored nor sent. "Share plan" creates a link containing the number of guests, appetite, serving style and language; you decide where that link goes.
Nothing loaded from other servers
All images, scripts and stylesheets come from racletteatlas.ch. The home-page photo (Ka23 13, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0) is a copy stored on this server; opening a page makes your browser connect to neither Wikimedia nor any other third party. The only exception is the error reports to Cloudflare described above.
Links to other sites
Links to cheese dairies, sources and other sites only open the other site when you click them. Those sites have their own privacy rules.
Messages to kontakt@racletteatlas.ch are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator's mailbox. Your email address and your message pass through Cloudflare and the operator's email provider.
Access and deletion
The site has no forms, no user accounts and no database of its own. Send questions about your data, and requests for access or deletion, to kontakt@racletteatlas.ch.
